The church was erected in 1896, on the grounds of the old castle of Monceau. The plans for the new neo- Romanesque building were entrusted to Eugene Homberg (1848-1925). From 1908 to 1911, Christian Labouret was commissioned to complete the building and erect the neo-Romanesque façade. It later became the parish of Father Serralda, close to Mgr Ducaud-Bourget and the nascent Priestly Fraternity of Saint-Pie-X.
