C1 In 1829, John Abbey delivered a choir organ to St Etienne du Mont. This was the first choir organ placed in a parish in Paris! It was replaced in 1902 by a new organ by Theodore Puget. The old organ was transferred to St Roch. The Plein-Jeu of 4 ranks of the Récit replaced a Voix Humaine 8, in 1942, at the request of Maurice Duruflé. This stop fits perfectly into the Puget set. The organ was restored in 1954 by (probably) Beuchet. In 1991, Dargassies performed an overhaul, without making the slightest transformation. Some of the taut skins covering the notes have been replaced.
